Svobodová, Natálie
This thesis aims to investigate the impact of COVID-19 on college students and their mental and social well-being. Specifically, its primary objective is to determine the impact of COVID-19 and how the pandemic and its restrictions influenced students' mental and social well-being in the Czech Republic and Ghana. In addition, these two populations are respectfully compared in terms of their differences. The thesis provides a comprehensive theoretical background. According to a literature review, the theoretical part discusses relevant subjects such as COVID-19, its development in examined countries, students' mental health and its determinants, or online education within examined countries during the pandemic. Additionally, the methodology and empirical data are presented. The empirical part largely consists of data analysis, including qualitative and quantitative data. In conclusion, the key findings of the study are summarized and interpreted. According to the findings, COVID-19 posed significant challenges for Ghanaian and Czech students, negatively impacting their well-being. The study determined that the pandemic negatively impacted various health, social, economic, academic, psychological, or lifestyle-related aspects. Depending on the research group, the variables were either compatible or not. Ghanaian students experienced more adverse outcomes in the areas of financial stability, academic achievement, and lifestyle. In contrast, we observed a more decisive influence in the areas of social and concentration negatives with Mendel students.

Matoušková, Adéla ; Vacek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Zachová, Kateřina (referee)
Background: Psychedelics are substances that affect the nervous system and have the ability to influence thinking, perception and feelings of the user. In the Czech Republic, psilocybe mushrooms are the second most used psychedelic. 5.7% of the population over the age of 15 used them at least once in their lifetime, and over 70,000 people in the last 12 months. Research shows that this hallucinogen has potential uses in medicine and psychotherapy, especially in the treatment of depression, anxiety or PTSD. In the past, psychedelics were associated with the phenomenon of psychedelic art, in which artists were inspired in their works by psychedelic experiences they achieved under the influence of hallucinogenic substances, which entails significant risks. Patterns of magic mushroom use among artistic college students have not yet been adequately described. Objectives: The aim of the work is to find out the patterns of use of psychedelic mushrooms among university students with an artistic focus, to find out what effect the use has on their artistic creation and what is the motivation for using it. In this work, I will focus on the prevalence and amount of hallucinogenic mushrooms used by students and try to evaluate whether there is a connection between the pattern of using psilocybin mushrooms and...

The bachelor thesis focuses on a case study of the Center of Contemporary and Modern Art Kunsthalle Prague by analyzing the marketing mix and interpreting the data obtained through a questionnaire survey. The theoretical part of the thesis presents a brief history of the institution and analyses the 4P tools based on the theory defined by marketing theorist Edmund J. McCarthy. The analysis also defined the institution's competitors and added a subsection on online marketing. The practical part deals with the evaluation of data collected through a questionnaire survey in order to answer predefined hypotheses concerning the attendance of both Kunsthalle Prague and other cultural institutions. The survey was conducted among current and incoming university students and recent graduates. Using a combination of quantitative and qualitative research, data was collected that could be statistically interpreted to find causal relationships between them. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present the history and communication mix of the aforementioned modern and contemporary art center, but above all to define the relationship between this institution and university students. Whether this institution represents an attractive place for them to visit and why.
